DJ Shaan made history by becoming the first Indian DJ to perform at Tomorrowland (2014), one of the world's most prestigious music festivals, inspiring India's vast youth population. His debut performance as a disco jockey was at Asia's premier music festival, Sunburn Goa, in 2010 which marked a significant milestone as he became the youngest DJ to play at an international music festival.
His journey as a DJ/Producer began at a very young age of 15. DJ Shaan’s big room, uplifting tracks, and silky smooth transitions have earned him widespread recognition from both artists and the industry, positioning him as one of India's hottest DJ/Producer exports.
1n 2014 he also became the first Indian to perform at The Box at the Ministry of Sound in London during The Saturday Sessions, with his second session broadcast live worldwide.
From the outset, DJ Shaan has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Avicii, Afrojack, David Guetta, Hardwell, Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto, Axwell ^ Ingrosso, Kaskade, Dash Berlin, and Michael Woods.
Whether as Sunburn's Resident DJ performing at major events like Love Week and Marenostrum, or on his own DJ Shaan & Friends Stage at Sunburn Goa 2014, he has consistently proved his talent. He is also the first Indian DJ to play exclusive back-to-back sets with artists like Yves V (Tomorrowland Resident), Deniz Koyu, Arnej, and Ale Mora.
DJ Shaan's track 'Light Up the World' featuring Lauren Evans, released in 2015, was picked up by Statement Records/Armada and quickly rose to the Top 15 on the Beatport Charts. The track received support from international artists such as Nicky Romero, W&W, Tritonal, and Ruben De Ronde.
